Marketing & E-Commerce Virtual Assistant 

Schedule: 4 hours per day, flexible within client business hours (US time zone Monday - friday 10 to 7)

About the Role

Join a fast-growing baking brand with digital products, an e-commerce store, and a paid membership program (Baking Unwrapped). We’re looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized Marketing Virtual Assistant to help keep the business running smoothly — and to help unlock growth that hasn’t been fully tapped yet.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on e-commerce and email marketing experience who enjoys turning existing content into structured campaigns, supporting members and customers, and improving systems over time.


Key Responsibilities

1. Membership & Customer Support

  • Respond to customer and member inquiries related to:

    • Login issues

    • Order confirmations

    • Order status

    • Access to purchased or member-only content

  • Assist with password resets and step-by-step login support

  • Navigate the website backend (WordPress/WooCommerce) to resolve issues professionally and efficiently

2. Content & Website Operations

  • Create and update posts and pages in WordPress for the Baking Unwrapped membership (content provided)

  • Upload and organize:

    • PDFs

    • Videos

    • Digital downloads

  • Ensure clean formatting, correct links, and a good user experience

3. Email Marketing & Campaign Support

  • Build and schedule emails in Mailchimp, including:

    • Membership reminders

    • Nurture emails

    • Launch and promotion emails

  • Support lifecycle flows (abandoned cart, free trial nurture, post-purchase follow-up)

  • Segment audiences (customers, members, trial users)

4. Content Repurposing

  • Take existing “core” content (videos, recipes, workshops, emails) and repurpose it into:

    • Nurture email campaigns

    • Member communications

    • Simple digital products or content updates

  • Create basic Canva graphics as needed (templates provided)

5. Growth & Optimization Support

  • Help identify and build growth opportunities such as:

    • Abandoned cart emails

    • Member trial nurture sequences

    • Post-purchase upsells (memberships, kits, 1:1 sessions)

  • Flag inefficiencies and suggest improvements to systems and workflows


Required Experience

  • E-commerce experience, especially with WooCommerce

  • Strong experience using WordPress

  • Email marketing experience with Mailchimp

  • Comfortable supporting customers through backend systems

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable

  • Strong written communication and customer service skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with MemberPress or similar membership platforms

  • Canva experience

  • Experience supporting digital products, memberships, or creator-led brands

  • Operational or systems mindset
