Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm AEST, 35 to 40 hours per week depending on business need

Junior Video Editor
Purpose:

Support content and delivery teams by efficiently handling repeatable, low-complexity video editing tasks with accuracy and speed.

Core Skills:

• Basic video editing fundamentals
• Attention to timing, pacing, and style guide adherence
• Reliable turnaround on repetitive tasks
• Good file management and organization

Tools & Platforms:

• Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
• Basic use of captions, simple lower thirds, and audio leveling
• Google Drive / Dropbox for file sharing
• Slack for communication

Experience Required:

• 6 to 18 months video editing experience
• Portfolio showcasing clean cuts, top & tail edits, simple social clips
• Comfortable working with long-form talking-head content

Typical Tasks:

• Trimming video start/end points
• Removing pauses or errors
• Exporting in correct formats
• Basic caption placement as needed

Success Indicators:

• Fast, consistent delivery
• Low revision requests
• Accurate and complete file submissions

Senior Video Editor
Purpose:

Produce high-quality, on-brand video content that drives engagement, clarity, and conversion across social media, paid ads, and owned platforms.

Core Skills:

• Advanced video storytelling and creative decision-making
• Strong sense of pacing, hooks, and viewer retention
• Ability to repurpose long-form content into short-form clips
• Skilled in integrating feedback effectively

Tools & Platforms:

• Adobe Premiere Pro (required)
• After Effects (highly desirable)
• Frame.io or similar review tools
• Captioning tools like Premiere, Descript, or CapCut
• Familiarity with formatting for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube

Experience Required:

• 3+ years professional video editing experience
• Proven track record with short-form social and long-form YouTube/podcast-style edits
• Experience collaborating with creators, coaches, or education brands
• Strong portfolio demonstrating retention-focused editing

Typical Tasks:

• Creating engaging short-form clips with strong hooks
• Editing long-form YouTube content
• Producing paid ad creatives
• Delivering branded content packages

Success Indicators:

• High engagement and retention metrics on edited content
• Consistent quality and brand alignment
• Minimal back-and-forth on creative direction
• Trusted to deliver polished final products independently
