Job Description: You’ll be the coordination backbone for multiple construction projects, ensuring seamless communication between architects, surveyors, and specialized consultants while maintaining financial accuracy across complex project structures. You’ll work directly with the owner, gaining exposure to all aspects of the construction and development process while building valuable skills in both project coordination and bookkeeping.
Project Administrator with Bookkeeping Support
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage communication with project consultants including architects, surveyors, and other construction professionals
- Conduct follow-up conversations via phone and email to track project progress and milestones
- Track and manage project expenses across multiple companies (each project operates as its own entity)
- Perform bookkeeping tasks including expense categorization and financial record maintenance
- Maintain project timelines and ensure deliverables are met according to schedule
- Provide administrative support for construction project management processes
- Learn and adapt to company-specific processes and systems through comprehensive training
Requirements:
- Previous experience in project coordination or administration, preferably in construction or related industries
- Strong communication skills for professional interactions with consultants and vendors
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar financial management systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for expense tracking
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role through provided training
- Availability to work within Australian business hours
- Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup
