Our client is seeking a creative and organized Video Editing and Social Media Assistant to bring brand visions to life through compelling short-form content. You’ll be the creative force behind transforming raw footage into engaging Instagram Reels and TikTok videos that capture attention and drive engagement. This role perfectly blends technical video editing with creative storytelling, and your work will directly help founders strengthen their online presence. You’ll work with minimal supervision while being part of a passionate team that values creativity, authenticity, and meaningful brand storytelling. Responsibilities
- Edit dynamic short-form videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok that capture audience attention
- Add professional captions using CapCut, Captions AI, or similar tools to enhance accessibility
- Apply creative effects, strategic zooms, smooth cuts, b-roll, and engaging overlays
- Maintain consistent brand alignment with company aesthetics and authentic voice
- Transform long-form videos into 1–3 compelling short clips for maximum content repurposing
- Design eye-catching carousel posts from existing scripts and marketing materials
- Extract powerful quotes and attention-grabbing hooks from video content
- Schedule and publish content strategically across Instagram and TikTok
- Organize and maintain a streamlined weekly content calendar for optimal posting
- Keep all clips, captions, drafts, and export files neatly organized
- Analyze content performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations
Requirements
- 1–2 years of proven experience editing short-form videos, especially for social media
- Strong creative eye for storytelling, timing, and flow in video content creation
- Deep familiarity with current social media best practices and trending formats
- Creative, proactive, and dependable work style with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision using provided direction and frameworks
- Capability to deliver high-quality video edits within a 48–72-hour turnaround
- Proficiency with CapCut, Canva, Trello, and Mailchimp for seamless workflow integration
- Experience with content repurposing strategies and multi-platform social media publishing
- Bonus points for interest in marketing, storytelling, or personal branding
- Additional advantage for TikTok-native editing experience or familiarity with foundertok/creatortok content
