Customer Support Specialist

Schedule: Monday - Friday 30 hours a week, flexible within Eastern Time business hours.

Availability to evolve to full time 40h / week.Role will start part time 30h/week with plans to evolve to fulltime in next quarter of 2026. 

Role Overview: We are looking for a versatile Customer Support Specialist to handle both inbound inquiries and proactive outbound communication. You will be responsible for ensuring users and interpreters are supported via phone/email—whether answering incoming questions or reaching out to confirm details—while also maintaining our internal databases.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Support (Inbound & Outbound): Answer incoming inquiries and place outbound calls to users and interpreters for account verification, booking reminders, and relationship building (e.g., welcoming new users).
  • Technical Verification: Conduct pre-session "Tech Checks" for remote video assignments. This involves logging into Zoom/Google Meet 10 minutes early to verify the interpreter’s audio/video connection.
  • Database Administration: Perform web research (Google/LinkedIn) to update contact information for potential clients in our internal records.
  • Account Assistance: Provide administrative support to key partners (e.g., helping them input data or find contact info) to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Dispatch Monitoring: Monitor the job board for urgent requests and send notifications to interpreters to secure coverage.

 

Requirements

  • Prior experience in Customer Support or Virtual Assistance.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls to professionals (coordination/support calls).
  • Tech-Forward: Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT/Gemini) and comfortable learning new software quickly.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: Ability to use available resources (Google/Internal Docs) to find answers independently.
  • Adaptable: Comfortable in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift; ability to act with urgency.
  • Proficient with Google Sheets and internet research.
  • Reliable internet connection for video tech checks.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
