Insurance Customer Service Specialist

Job Overview:
This role provides day-to-day customer service and operational support across appointment setting, data entry, underwriting follow-ups, endorsements, evidence of insurance, and inbound client calls. You’ll work closely with insurance agents and agency staff to ensure clients receive accurate, timely assistance with their policies. This is an ideal fit for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable communicating with customers in the insurance space.
Responsibilities:
- Set appointments for renewals, warm leads, quoted/not closed lists, and other warm lists generated by agents and agencies
- Perform data entry for quoting on carrier pages, using raters, completing intake forms, re-shopping quotes, and cleaning up email queues
- Process Evidence of Insurance (EOI) including certificates, mortgagee changes, and lien-holder updates
- Collect and prepare data for endorsements, documentation, AMS notes, and carrier page updates
- Support underwriting by gathering trailing documents and requesting missing information from clients
- Handle inbound customer service calls related to billing questions, endorsements, intake, quote sheets, and service-related inquiries
- Upsell or cross-sell when appropriate during service calls and assist with new quote sheet details
- Maintain accurate documentation, follow agency processes, and update internal systems
Requirements:
- Experience in customer service, insurance servicing, or administrative support
- High accuracy and attention to detail when handling insurance documentation
- Strong communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and professionally with clients
- Comfortable managing multiple service tasks and following structured processes
- Ability to work during US business hours or overlapping hours as needed
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Stable internet connection and remote work setup
Bonus if you have:
- Experience working in an insurance agency environment
- Familiarity with AMS systems, carrier portals, or insurance quoting tools
- Experience handling endorsements or underwriting support
- Knowledge of auto, home, or commercial insurance workflows
