We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a growing Australian financial advisory firm. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, can produce high-quality advice documents, and is confident working across a diverse range of financial planning strategies.
About the Role
This position operates on a productivity-based structure, with the ideal target being:

1 completed advice document per day, and
-
A minimum of 3 per week, depending on complexity.
You will take ownership of the paraplanning workflow from the moment the fact-find and paraplanning request are received, ensuring each advice document is accurate, compliant, and ready for final adviser review.
Key Responsibilities

Review the paraplanning request, understand the scope of advice, and identify missing or unclear information.

Confirm client goals and ensure the fact-find data is complete and accurate.

Conduct financial modelling including:

Cashflow and retirement modelling
-
Contribution scenario modelling
-
Basic debt reduction projections
-
Insurance affordability checks
-
Simple Centrelink calculations
-

Perform research to support advice recommendations:
-
Superannuation platform comparisons
-
Investment portfolio summaries
-
Fee modelling
-
Insurance needs analysis review
-
-
Prepare replacement insurance sections, policy comparisons, and identify potential underwriting or technical issues.

Draft all narrative sections in clear, client-friendly language using your own professional writing style.

Prepare the Statement of Advice (SOA) within AdviserLogic and complete sections of the firm’s internal SOA template.

Ensure all modelling, strategies, fees, and recommendations are accurate, consistent, and aligned with compliance requirements.

Communicate proactively, raise data gaps early, and meet turnaround deadlines.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

Prior experience as a Paraplanner within financial planning

Familiarity with AdviserLogic, Intelliflo, or similar advice production software

Strong understanding of insurance recommendations and replacement strategy requirements
