You will serve as the operational backbone for delivering fractional controller services across multiple client engagements. Partnering directly with an experienced fractional controller, you’ll handle essential daily accounting tasks that keep each client’s financial operations accurate, compliant, and running smoothly. This role offers broad exposure to diverse industries and evolving business needs—ideal for someone who wants flexibility, variety, and long-term growth.

 

Responsibilities

• Process daily financial transactions across multiple client accounts with accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with professional accounting standards
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations for various clients
• Maintain organized, up-to-date books and records in QuickBooks
• Support the fractional controller with ongoing accounting tasks and special projects
• Ensure all deliverables are completed within deadlines and meet quality benchmarks
• Collaborate in a remote team environment while maintaining strict client confidentiality
• Adapt to different client processes, industries, and accounting requirements

 

Requirements

• 2–5 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (required for daily operations)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial recordkeeping
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Reliable internet connection and a professional remote workspace
• Bonus: Experience with additional accounting platforms such as Xero
• Bonus: Background supporting small business clients or service-based organizations
