Contract: Independent Contractor
Schedule: 8AM-5PM Toronto Time, 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Review all incoming invoices for accuracy and completeness.
Allocate or split invoices appropriately across different company entities. - Accurately post invoices into QuickBooks and ensure all entries are coded to the correct accounts.
- Process payments through various company bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic records of all invoices and payments.
- Collaborate with internal departments to verify purchase orders, approvals, and expense classifications.
- Assist with month-end closing activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk, Bookkeeper, or similar accounting role.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (QuickBooks Online preferred).
- Experience handling multiple entities or companies within accounting systems.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and AP processes.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
