Job Highlights:
- Contract type: Independent Contractor
- Schedule: minimum 20 hours per week; Flexible hours during EST business hours from 8 AM to 5 PM (9 PM to 6 AM PHT)
Responsibilities
- Review and improve existing bookkeeping practices in QuickBooks Online
- Reconcile financial discrepancies and ensure accuracy of all financial records
- Collaborate with management to create systematic records of all financial documents
- Suggest improvements for financial categorization and record-keeping
- Analyze current practices to maximize tax credit utilization
- Provide guidance on best practices for financial management
- Ensure all financial data is entered correctly and up-to-date
- Provide daily end-of-day (EOD) updates summarizing completed tasks, pending items, and any questions or blockers to ensure clear communication and accountability.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and best practices
- Familiarity with hospitality industry accounting preferred
- Knowledge of emerging AI technologies to optimize workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance professionals
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving financial management issues
Scope
- Remote work with strict adherence to data security protocols
- Focus on review, optimization, and advisory rather than data entry
- Collaborate with external accountant to resolve any discrepancies
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as needed
