Job Description: You’ll be the financial backbone of a dynamic renewable energy company, managing their complete order-to-cash cycle while they scale their solar and electrical systems business. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern accounting systems, support a mission-driven company, and potentially grow into expanded responsibilities, including payroll management. You’ll work directly with leadership in a collaborative environment where your expertise will be essential to their continued growth and success.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable, including goods receiving and marking deliveries as received in MYOB
  • Match incoming invoices to purchase orders and create new POs as needed for inventory
  • Manage integration workflow from Pylon quoting software through Transpost into MYOB
  • Generate detailed pick lists and customer invoices for solar installation projects
  • Track customer deposits in Zoho CRM and trigger automated receipt confirmations
  • Follow up on unpaid invoices with payment reminders and coordinate debt collection activities
  • Perform job costing allocation across all projects to ensure accurate profitability tracking
  • Match invoices to specific jobs for non-inventory items and services
  • Support process improvements, including potential API integration projects
  • Potential to expand into payroll responsibilities as the role develops

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of solid bookkeeping experience with strong fundamentals
  • Proficiency with MYOB accounting software (essential requirement)
  • Experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Job costing experience preferred for project-based businesses
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Available to work Melbourne business hours with flexibility on start/end times
  • Bonus if you have experience with CRM systems like Zoho
  • It helps if you’ve worked in project-based or installation businesses
  • Bonus if you have any background in renewable energy or the electrical industry
