Job Description
Our client is seeking a HR Specialist to support our HR Manager with a broad range of human resources tasks. You’ll be responsible for assisting in health insurance administration, payroll, hiring, employee separations, and the ongoing development of HR policies and procedures. This role requires someone who is highly reliable, proactive, a great researcher, and detail-oriented.

The client is a faith-based organization, and their internal meetings begin with prayer and scripture. Their ideal candidate must be a practicing Christian who attends church regularly and is comfortable engaging in this environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with employee onboarding, offboarding, and record management

Support the administration of payroll and health insurance benefits

Help maintain and update HR policy and procedure documents

Support recruitment processes, including job posting, scheduling, and candidate communication

Assist with employee separations and related compliance

Conduct research on HR topics, policies, and best practices as needed

Attend daily/weekly virtual meetings that include scripture readings and prayer

Ensure confidentiality and compliance when handling sensitive employee data

Use remote monitoring software to ensure secure work practices
Qualifications

Fluent English speaker with minimal accent

Must reside in the US Eastern or Central time zones, or be available during those hours (Central/South America preferred)

Self-starter with strong organizational and research skills

Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

High level of discretion when handling private information

Strong internet connection and quiet home office setup
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience in HR, payroll, or employee benefits administration
- Familiarity with US labor laws and compliance (training provided)
- Exposure to remote monitoring software or tools
- Previous work in a faith-based or mission-driven organization
