Job Description

This role offers the unique opportunity to build a brand from the ground up while working alongside a successful business owner who understands the power of authentic social media presence. You’ll have creative freedom to develop engaging content strategies that drive real business results across Instagram and Facebook platforms, while also establishing email marketing foundations. The position focuses on creating genuine, human-centered content that stands out from AI-generated alternatives, with the exciting challenge of differentiating brand messaging between two distinct business entities. As the business grows, there’s significant potential for the role to expand to full-time with increased responsibilities and creative opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies specifically for Instagram and Facebook platforms
  • Create original, engaging content including professional image and video editing
  • Schedule and publish posts strategically across all social media channels
  • Actively manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and building relationships with followers
  • Design and implement email marketing campaigns with professional formatting and templates
  • Generate detailed performance reports and analytics to track growth and engagement metrics
  • Collaborate directly with the business owner to ensure distinct brand messaging between the e-commerce store and interior design business
  • Maintain consistent brand voice and visual identity that reflects the company’s commitment to quality and authenticity

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in social media management with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work and measurable results
  • Advanced proficiency in content creation tools for both image and video editing (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms)
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms and campaign development
  • Deep understanding of Instagram and Facebook algorithms, best practices, and emerging trends
  • Proven ability to work independently while taking initiative on creative projects
  • Excellent written communication skills with attention to brand voice consistency
  • Experience working with e-commerce, retail, or lifestyle brands strongly preferred
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with Australian time zones for real-time collaboration and strategy discussions
