Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to play a foundational role in building Australia’s next major digital marketplace platform. You’ll be responsible for populating hundreds of products across hardware/DIY and adventure camping categories, directly contributing to the platform’s successful launch. Working with established Australian suppliers and retailers, you’ll help create a comprehensive product catalog that will serve as the backbone for vendor marketing and sales activities. This role offers excellent exposure to e-commerce operations, product data management, and marketplace technology while working with a dynamic startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Populate comprehensive product information into a state-of-the-art digital marketplace platform
- Research and extract product details from major Australian retailer websites including Bunnings and other leading suppliers
- Input detailed product specifications including names, categories, brands, models, and compelling descriptions
- Expand the platform’s brand database by adding new manufacturers and suppliers as needed
- Source and integrate relevant YouTube tutorial videos to enhance product listings
- Follow detailed training materials and screen recordings provided by the client
- Work with specific product categories in hardware/DIY and adventure/outdoor recreation sectors
- Maintain exceptional data accuracy and consistency across all product entries
- Meet productivity targets and quality standards established for platform launch
Requirements
- Proven experience in data entry with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong typing skills with excellent speed and precision
- Experience navigating and extracting information from e-commerce websites
- Familiarity with Australian retail landscape and product categories preferred
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently using provided training materials
- Comfortable learning new software platforms through video tutorials and documentation
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain consistent data quality
- Reliable internet connection and professional work environment
