You are a versatile, business-aligned developer who thrives in structured yet autonomous

Your mission:
1. Optimize and scale an existing MVP into a revenue-generating platform.
2. Own end-to-end development (frontend, backend, DevOps) with minimal supervision.
3. Document systems clearly for future collaboration and compliance.
4. Propose innovative features that align with business goals and user needs.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Stack Development:
- Refactor and optimize the current codebase (React Native frontend + Node.js/Python backend).
- Migrate databases (Firestore → PostgreSQL) and implement cost-effective cloud solutions (AWS/Azure).
- Integrate monetization models (subscriptions, premium tiers, employer partnerships).
Performance & Security: - Reduce latency, resolve bottlenecks, and enforce security protocols (GDPR/APRA compliance).
- Enforce security protocols in compliance with GDPR and APRA.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Monetization Strategy:
- Collaborate with leadership to design/execute revenue streams (e.g. AI-driven analytics for employers).
- Communicate status, risks, and opportunities to senior management, managing expectations, and aligning efforts with leadership priorities.
- Identify assumptions and voice concerns regarding plans or decisions where potential roadblocks or unintended consequences are foreseen, presenting clear rationale and proposing viable alternatives.
Innovation:
- Recommend and prototype features that differentiate the platform (e.g. skills verification, real-time analytics).
- Proactively ascertain potential future challenges, market shifts, and opportunities, and develop strategic recommendations for leadership consideration.
- Anticipate obstacles to project success or strategic goals and develop well-researched mitigation plans or alternative solutions before issues escalate
- Leverage foresight of possible obstacles to initiate and lead negotiations (internal or external) aimed at securing resources, adjusting timelines, or modifying approaches for optimal outcomes.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
- Create comprehensive technical documentation (APIs, system architecture, deployment workflows).
- Mentor junior staff and develop training materials to accelerate team proficiency.
- Own end-to-end documentation of key processes and solutions for team-wide accessibility.
What We’re Looking For
Technical Skills (Must-Have)
- Frontend: React Native/Flutter (cross-platform optimization).
- Backend: Node.js/Python, REST/GraphQL APIs, PostgreSQL/MongoDB.
- Cloud/DevOps: AWS/Azure, Docker, GitHub Actions.
- APIs/Integrations: Stripe (payments), Google AdMob, Twilio (notifications).
