This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented bookkeeper looking for a long-term role with a clear path to more advanced tax and accounting work. You’ll support a variety of clients using Xero and other modern tools, while building your skills in a supportive, tech-focused environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct client meetings and follow-ups
- Manage the flow of information between clients and the firm
- Prepare BAS and IAS statements
- Liaise with the ATO on client matters
- Assist with business entity setup and registrations
- Complete computer data input
- Prepare ATO applications (ABN, TFN, GST, PAYG)
- Record billable time accurately
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bookkeeping standards, legislation, and rulings
- Participate in external and internal training
- Ensure all work is accurate, professional, and compliant with firm procedures
- Maintain accurate files and records with detailed notes
- Prepare workflow reports for client work
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience

Bookkeeping certificate or relevant qualifications

Experience in coding transactions

Strong skills in bank and credit card reconciliation

Proficiency with MYOB and Xero

Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
