This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented bookkeeper looking for a long-term role with a clear path to more advanced tax and accounting work. You’ll support a variety of clients using Xero and other modern tools, while building your skills in a supportive, tech-focused environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Accounts Transaction Processing including recording income, expenses, payments and other financial transactions in line with Australian tax laws and regulations.
Bank Reconciliations including reconciling bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
Payroll including processing payroll, understanding payroll set up, categories, leave types, superannuation and STP ensuring compliance with Australian payroll regulations.
BAS preparation including preparing Business Activity Statements for GST reporting. Accounts Payable & Receivable including managing invoices payments.
Prepare and send email queries to clients.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bookkeeping standards, legislation, and rulings
Qualifications & Experience
Bookkeeping certificate or accounting qualifications
Proven bookkeeping experience working with Australian based companies
Proven payroll experience working with Australian based companies
Proficiency with Xero and MYOB
Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills
