Job Description
We’re seeking a creative and passionate Social Media Assistant to help grow our social media presence across key platforms. You’ll work closely with our founding team to manage engaging content, build meaningful audience connections, and support our brand’s authentic voice in the beauty and fashion community. This role offers the perfect blend of creative freedom and strategic support, allowing you to showcase your social media expertise while being part of an exciting startup journey. Responsibilities
- Schedule and publish compelling content across Instagram and TikTok platforms
- Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and building authentic connections
- Collaborate on caption writing and content optimization with guidance from the founding team
- Participate in weekly strategic team meetings via Zoom to review content and plan upcoming campaigns
- Maintain organized content calendars and work with existing planning systems
- Support two key accounts: a personal brand account and the main business account
- Handle occasional administrative tasks that support overall business operations
- Adapt to seasonal campaign needs and scale hours during busy periods
- Help maintain consistent brand voice and aesthetic across all platforms
Requirements
- Genuine passion and deep interest in fashion and beauty industries (non-negotiable!)
- Proven experience with Instagram and TikTok content management and scheduling tools
- Excellent written communication skills for engaging captions and community interaction
- Creative eye for aesthetics and understanding of current social media trends
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently while maintaining strong team collaboration
- Flexibility to attend weekly team meetings during Toronto business hours
- Proficiency with social media scheduling platforms and basic spreadsheet software
