Outbound Sales Development Representative (Insurance)

Overview

Join an established insurance brokerage with 15 years of industry expertise in life insurance and supplemental benefits. We are looking for a high-energy professional to drive growth through outbound cold calling and strategic appointment scheduling.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm PST.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume outbound cold calling to prospective insurance clients using provided scripts and lead lists
  • Schedule qualified appointments for life insurance and supplemental benefits consultations
  • Follow established scripts while adapting conversation to engage prospects effectively
  • Track and report on daily calling activities, appointments scheduled, and conversion metrics
  • Maintain consistent daily performance targets for calls made and appointments booked

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-4 years of proven experience in cold calling and appointment setting
  • Demonstrated success in appointment setting with measurable results and conversion rates
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to engage prospects effectively over the phone
  • Previous experience with lead generation activities and tools (Nice-to-have)
  • Background in insurance sales or client-facing roles within US-based companies (Nice-to-have)
