Job Overview Care Scheduler

We are seeking a highly organized and adaptable Scheduling Coordinator to support daily home care operations in the Nashville market. In this role, you will manage caregiver schedules, handle real-time call-outs, and ensure seamless shift coverage using EMR and Care QB systems. You’ll act as a key point of contact between caregivers, clients, and care managers, using strong communication and problem-solving skills to maintain continuity of care in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. 

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Central with a 30-minute paid break. Open to additional hours on weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update caregiver schedules for the Nashville market
  • Manage real-time call-outs and reallocate shifts within the EMR
  • Utilize the Care QB system to automate and monitor communications
  • Coordinate directly with both clients and caregivers via phone/email
  • Liaise with care managers regarding scheduling conflicts and updates
  • Apply human intelligence to resolve chaotic staffing situations
  • Track and report caregiver attendance and shift completion

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years experience in staffing, dispatch, or medical scheduling
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and automated scheduling software
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in a chaotic scheduling environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills for shift reallocation
  • Reliable and punctual for high-stakes coordination tasks
  • Comfortable with both client-facing and caregiver-facing roles

Scope:

  • Full-time schedule maintenance within the Central Time zone
  • Critical support for daily home care staffing operations
  • Direct engagement with the caregiver pool and elderly clients
  • Collaborative role working alongside the US-based care manager

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
