Job Description: You’ll join an experienced medical billing team where your skills make a real difference in patient care. Working remotely with established systems and processes, you’ll handle comprehensive billing operations while learning from a seasoned professional who values long-term partnerships. This role offers the flexibility of remote work combined with the satisfaction of supporting essential healthcare services that help patients receive the care they need.

Responsibilities:

  • Submit insurance claims and manage follow-up processes for timely reimbursement
  • Reconcile claim denials and execute appeal processes to maximize revenue recovery
  • Review and manage patient account balances with attention to accuracy and compliance
  • Create daily collection sheets and highlight patient balances for office staff coordination
  • Set up patient profiles including demographics input and insurance verification
  • Allocate payments correctly to appropriate accounts and case types
  • Prepare patient statements for provider review and distribution
  • Process Veterans Affairs authorizations and manage specialized billing requirements
  • Monitor accounts for insurance exhaustion and proactively update status indicators
  • Maintain organized patient accounts with color coding and status management systems

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of medical billing experience with strong attention to detail
  • HIPAA compliance knowledge and certification required
  • Experience with insurance verification and claim submission processes
  • Understanding of CPT and ICD coding systems
  • Reliable internet connection for secure remote login capabilities
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Bonus if you have ChiroTouch software experience
  • It helps if you’re comfortable working across multiple time zones
