Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a part-time  AU Bookkeeper | Xero Integration Specialist to automate and manage their bookkeeping processes while liaising with their external accountant. This role involves managing the full bookkeeping cycle and establishing seamless integration between the company's pest control management software and accounting platform. The position offers potential growth to full-time hours as the business continues to expand.

Client Overview:

The client operates a pest control business in Sydney, Australia, providing comprehensive services including termite treatment, rodent control, general pest sprays, and roof cleaning with associated maintenance work. The business has been operating for three years with strong growth over the past two years and is now scaling operations through strategic hiring.

Schedule:

Australian timezone (Sydney) (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Establish and maintain integration between Formitise pest control management software and Xero accounting platform.
• Liaise with the external accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Generate financial reports from both Formitise and Xero to support business decision-making.
• Assist with Australian tax-related bookkeeping tasks and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping.
• Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software.
• Strong understanding of Australian tax systems and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• Experience with Formitise or similar pest control management software is preferred.
• Background working with service-based or trade businesses in Australia is a plus.
