Business Development Representative (Sports Technology)

Overview:

We're looking for a self-motivated Business Development Representative (Sports Technology) to join our team in a part-time role focused on generating new business opportunities and scheduling qualified appointments. In this position, you'll manage the entire outreach process—from initiating cold contact to booking product demonstrations. You'll work closely with our CEO, so we're looking for someone who takes initiative, follows established processes, communicates reliably, and isn't afraid to share ideas that help improve our sales efforts.

We're a sports technology company delivering innovative digital products and services to sports clubs and associations across Australia and international markets. Our solutions include advanced video analysis tools that help leagues and coaches improve performance, supported by a dedicated team of analysts who code and analyze game footage every week.

Schedule:

  • Part-time, 20 hours per week (4 hours per day, 5 days a week) | Brisbane, Australia Time Zone

  • Schedule can be fixed or flexible based on task completion

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct online research to generate lists of sports leagues, clubs, and associations as potential leads
  • Create and send personalized outreach emails using provided templates and applying appropriate customization
  • Make outbound cold calls to prospects who have not responded to email outreach
  • Schedule product demonstrations and showcases for the CEO with qualified prospects
  • Maintain CRM or spreadsheet records with accurate lead information and follow-up tasks
  • Manage follow-up sequences to nurture prospects through the pipeline
  • Create social media graphics using Canva templates for new club onboarding announcements
  • Perform basic marketing administrative tasks including updating templates and managing content

Requirements:

  • Proven sales experience with a focus on lead generation and appointment setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience with cold calling and email outreach campaigns
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes
  • Comfortable using CRM systems or spreadsheets for tracking leads and activities

Nice-To-Have Requirements:

  • Experience with Canva or similar graphic design platforms
  • Background in sports, fitness, or related industries
  • Familiarity with the Australian market
