Customer Service & Sales Support Specialist (E-commerce/Retail)

Overview:

We are seeking a Customer Service & Sales Support Specialist (E-commerce/Retail) to manage customer enquiries via email and phone in a professional and timely manner. The role involves resolving issues related to orders, deliveries, returns, and product enquiries while also identifying opportunities to upsell and convert inbound queries into sales. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, highly organized, and confident in delivering a positive experience while supporting both service and sales objectives. 

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM UK Time | With 1-hour unpaid break (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer service enquiries via email and phone in a professional and timely manner
  • Resolve customer issues related to orders, deliveries, returns, and product enquiries
  • Provide product recommendations and upsell where appropriate to meet customer needs
  • Convert inbound enquiries into sales opportunities
  • Maintain a positive and helpful customer experience at all times
  • Accurately log customer interactions and outcomes in internal systems
  • Follow up with customers when required to close sales or resolve issues
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve escalations efficiently

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in customer service, sales, or a combined support/sales role
  • Comfortable handling both email and phone-based communication
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident upselling and objection handling without being pushy
  • Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of enquiries
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Customer-focused mindset with sales awareness

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

  • Experience working in e-commerce or retail
  • Familiarity with CRM or helpdesk software
  • Experience handling order management and logistics enquiries
