Insurance Operations & Service Specialist
Job Overview
This role will be integrated into the inside sales and service team, working alongside in-house specialists to support daily insurance operations. The position involves handling customer inquiries, processing policy transactions, and managing tasks through the company CRM system. This is a fully remote position requiring strong communication skills for customer-facing interactions via phone, chat, and email.
Client Overview
Our client is a recreational boating insurance provider operating as a Managing General Agent across all 50 states in the United States. They offer both admitted and excess and surplus lines products with a highly digital platform that enables straight-through processing for quotes and binding. They distribute through direct-to-consumer channels, independent agents, and embedded insurance partnerships.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST
Client Timezone: Eastern Standard Time
Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming calls, chats, and emails from existing customers, prospects, and agents regarding policy questions and general inquiries.
- Process policy cancellations, mid-term adjustments, and endorsements through the company CRM system.
- Handle requests for additional insurance coverage and assist with policy modifications.
- Provide quotes and support for the digital binding process on admitted insurance products.
- Work collaboratively with the existing in-house team to manage the task queue and ensure timely resolution of customer service requests.
Must-Have Requirements
- Proven experience working in insurance operations or customer service within an insurance company.
- Strong English communication skills with the ability to handle client-facing interactions professionally and clearly.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems for task management and transaction processing.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Experience with recreational boating insurance or specialty insurance products.
- Familiarity with both admitted and excess and surplus lines insurance.
- Background working with Managing General Agents or insurance distribution channels.
