Compliance Assistant (NDIS)
Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm (Parafield, SA) Australian Central Daylight Time
Job Overview: The Compliance Assistant provides administrative and operational support to ensure the organisation meets NDIS requirements and internal quality standards. This role assists with documentation, record keeping, reporting, and coordination of compliance-related activities under the guidance of senior management.
Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, Quality Indicators, and relevant legislation

Support the upkeep of compliance registers, including risk, incident, and continuous improvement logs

Assist with reviewing policies and procedures and updating documents as directed

Help prepare reports and documentation for internal reviews and external audits

Monitor and organise compliance records, ensuring accurate filing and version control

Support the tracking of staff training, certifications, and NDIS induction requirements

Assist in identifying non-conformities and escalating issues to the Compliance Manager or senior staff

Keep up to date with basic NDIS compliance updates and communicate relevant information to the team

Provide general administrative support related to quality, compliance, and audits
Organisational Culture & Practice Support

Support the organisation’s values and commitment to participant rights

Assist with collecting feedback from staff and participants when required

Help maintain documentation that reflects inclusive and culturally responsive practices
Health, Safety & Risk Support

Assist with maintaining workplace safety and incident reporting documentation

Support record keeping related to safeguarding, complaints, and risk management

Ensure compliance documents are current and accessible
Qualifications & Requirements

Certificate, diploma, or relevant experience in administration, compliance, or quality support

Completion of (or willingness to complete) the NDIS Worker Orientation Module

At least 12 months of experience in an administrative, quality, or compliance support role preferred
Skills & Experience

Basic understanding of NDIS or willingness to learn

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Ability to follow procedures and work within established frameworks

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage documents, records, and reports accurately

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
