Job Summary:
As a Legal Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for producing accurate and verbatim written transcriptions of various legal conversations, including consultations, interviews, and depositions. This role requires an exceptional command of the English language, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with the employer for timely and precise transcription delivery. The position offers the flexibility of remote work, with a supportive team and an accommodating training system.
Job Responsibilities
- Receive audio/video files online for transcription purposes.
- Transcribe audio/video recording files into legal transcripts using Microsoft Word.
- Edit and proofread legal transcripts to ensure accuracy and adherence to specific legal formats.
- Maintain open communication with the employer, addressing any errors or inconsistencies promptly.
- Organize files systematically and send completed documents and audio/video files back to the employer online.
Requirements
- Experience in Legal Transcribing and Proofreading is required
- Fluent in English.
- Exceptional spelling and grammar skills.
- Outstanding typing skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Patient, diligent, and committed to producing high-quality work.
