Position Overview:
We are in search of an experienced Bookkeeper to oversee our financial transactions and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate will possess 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Australian bookkeeping practices, with a focus on accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting. Proficiency in XERO is highly preferred.


Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Management: Manage invoices, payments, collections, and vendor relationships efficiently and accurately.
  • Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and related documentation.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between company records and bank statements.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate and analyze financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Offer insights and recommendations based on analysis.
  • XERO Expertise: Utilize XERO software adeptly for bookkeeping tasks, ensuring streamlined and accurate financial management.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and procedures. Maintain organized documentation for audits and reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of practical experience in Australian bookkeeping, particularly in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
  • XERO Proficiency: Preferred experience and proficiency with XERO software and its functionalities.
  • Education: A degree or certification in accounting, finance, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and derive valuable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
